Sesame seed manufacturers, like us, need proper in-house machinery to appropriately process the seeds. It is mainly done in three steps. First step is to clean the seeds, then dehulling and finally there is sorting.

• Firstly all the dust particles are removed from the seeds.

How lakadong turmeric is processed

For the processing of turmeric, our warehouse is well equipped with grading machinery. Turmeric is processed in five stages- curing, drying, polishing, colouring, grading and storing.

• Curing is basically the boiling of turmeric fingers and drying them under the sun.
• Since, conventional sun drying is disadvantageous in commercial production, in our warehouse; it is dried through cross-flow hot air at 65^o C.
• Finally the rhizomes from Meghalaya, the Lakadong Turmeric suppliers in India, are polished by removing the outer skin, left over soil particles, and smoothening of outer surface.
• During the last phrase of polishing, the turmeric might be sprinkled with a mixture of turmeric powder and water, for an attractive appearance.
